New Directions Receives 10k Grant Thanks to Westgate Resort’s Acts of Kindness Project

In December, our local Westgate Resort Myrtle Beach Oceanfront, completed an extensive renovation project at the Family Shelter - repainting hallways and interior spaces, renovating a bathroom, replacing a dishwasher, adding a collapsible counter for folding clothes, chalkboard walls, and most special of all - installing a new mural facing the playroom. This project was part of a company wide competition - Westgate’s Annual Acts of Kindness Initiative, where the best project completed by a resort in their local community, wins the benefitting organization a $10,000 grant. For the second year in a row, our friends at Westgate Resort Myrtle Beach Oceanfront won the competition for their project at New Directions, providing additional support for our organization through a $10,000 grant from the Westgate Foundation!
