About Compassion Through Fashion
Compassion Through Fashion, New Directions' premier fundraising event, returns in 2027 for another unforgettable evening where creativity meets compassion.
This signature runway experience showcases breathtaking couture designs created from recycled and unconventional materials by talented local designers, businesses, schools, and community organizations, all competing for top honors while supporting a cause that transforms lives.
More than a fashion show, Compassion Through Fashion is a celebration of our community's commitment to helping individuals and families achieve housing stability, recovery, and self-sufficiency. Every sponsorship, ticket, and donation directly supports the life-changing programs and services New Directions provides to neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Join more than 500 community leaders, philanthropists, and supporters at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center as over 25 extraordinary designs take the runway in an evening filled with inspiration, entertainment, and impact.

2026 Compassion Through Fashion Designer
Become a Designer
Any individual who wishes to create a fun, inventive, original fashion ensemble using recyclable materials. Individuals may represent themselves, a local business, organization, or facility.
RULES
1. Designs may use fabric as a base, but must incorporate repurposed, recycled, or unconventional materials as key elements.
2. Fashions must be wearable and durable enough to last through the fashion show.
3. Creations should strive to be fashionable, well made and in good taste. All fashions must be non-vulgar, harmless and must cover all private body parts.
4.The outfit must be worn by a model on a runway and should not be a hazard.
5. The model must be able to ascend and descend stairs while wearing the entry.
6. Store bought shoes are allowed.
7. Excluded Materials: Glitter is prohibited.
8.One design entry per designer, with no more than 2 models per entry.
9.All entries must be created by the designer listed.
