Fall is here, and our First Annual New Directions Clay Shoot Tournament is right around the corner! Join us on Friday, November 13, 2026, at Backwoods Quail Club in Georgetown, for a morning of friendly competition and community, all while supporting New Directions and the individuals and families we serve.

Teams and sponsorship opportunities are still available, so there is still time to form your team, promote your business, and “shoot” for change in our community.

Homelessness continues to be a significant topic of conversation across our community, bringing renewed attention to both the challenges facing those without stable housing and the resources available to help. At New Directions, this work happens every day.

Our mission is to help individuals and families achieve housing stability, recovery, and self-sufficiency through supportive services, individualized case management, and pathways to permanent housing.

And behind that mission are real people and real success stories. In this issue, you'll meet Chris, a New Directions client whose journey demonstrates what can happen when determination is met with the right support, resources, and opportunities.

As we move from fall into the holiday season, there will be even more ways to support our mission.

During Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week November 16-21, 2026. New Directions will once again invite the community to come together to help stock our pantries and support our shelters. We'll be collecting nonperishables and canned goods, along with monetary donations to help provide shelter, meals, supportive services, and pathways toward permanent housing for those we serve.

Whether you join us at the Clay Shoot, contribute to our November donation drive, make a financial gift, or simply help spread the word, every act of generosity helps move someone closer to stability and self-sufficiency.
